From start to finish Nigel was on hand and project managed with our architect and various agencies to allow us to gain the planning permissions required. Throughout the whole process Nigel kept us well informed of progress and of course obstacles that came up so that we had no nasty surprises. Nigel's work involved everything from the demolition of the old buildings through to putting up curtain poles and mirrors at the end for us... I would 100% recommend Nigel for any renovation work required or day to day maintenece of your property. Nigel is on hand with any jobs required on either our main house or with our rental Gite and deals with any issues or problems our guests have... and has been for the last 6 years!! Nigel Freeman (Baytree Construction) has worked for us on two separate occasions and on both occasions we have been delighted with the outcome. The first job was to dig out an area of garden and lay a patio, suggesting how it could be incorporated with the surrounding area - which proved to be an excellent idea and which was done very professionally and looked perfect when finished. He ensured that the materials were exactly to our liking, checking that we were happy with the work done before being paid. The cost was extremely reasonable and we were more than happy to ask him to do more work in our garden - this time removing a tree and levelling the area, then concreting over to form a hard standing for storage facilities. Again, he checked with us before, during and after the work was complete to ensure we were happy with the work before being paid.
He and his assistant worked tirelessly and completed the works in a very timely manner. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone.

Nigel has done work for us a couple of times; two very different jobs. The first was to help us sort out a damp wall in our downstairs bedroom which included a new stud wall and moving the electrics. This has much improved the situation. The second job was to re-fit our landing windows which had moved and we could no longer open/close the windows. This was a much bigger job and involved taking the windows out and re-fixing the big wooden 'beams' which the windows were sitting on. These had moved as they hadn't been fixed properly when the windows were first installed. We found Nigel's approach very professional and helpful. He explained the options we had in both cases and the likely cost of each. He does a thorough job and is a quick and efficient worker. In addition he tidies up after himself - an added bonus!

After a recommendation by a friend of mine Nigel recently came to sweep the chimney flue attached to my log-burner. Access to the flue was restricted but Nigel has modern equipment to deal with this effectively. The flue had been blocked with debris (birds?) but by using a different sweeping head it was quickly cleared. The work was carried out with total cleanliness and very efficiently. I have no hesitation in recommending Nigel to others for similar work, Nigel is not just a chimney sweep he is truly a 'flueologist'!!
